Shimmer rings true to her name, in the show ring and with her kids..... she just shines and shines.   In 2001, she quickly finished off her American championship in the spring, and then took some time off for good behaviour.   Back in the ring at the end of the summer, she consistently won the breed and picked up her fair share of Group placings.   And, to prove that she is epitome of beauty and brains, she qualified for her Herding Instinct Certificate in between the shows.  Shimmer made the trip down to the 2002 CCA, where shown by Nancy, she made all the cuts-this was the "mystery bitch" at the CCA, as she was left out of the catalogue. Shimmer is co-owned and co-handled by her breeder, Nancy Anstruther of Tallywood Collies.

She has begrudgingly shared the spotlight with her kids, who are doing their mother proud. |

Cadence had a spectacular puppy career.  His second weekend out, he picked up two Best Puppy in Shows at the end of 2002, at the very competitive last show of the year in Canada and finished with back to back Group 1sts and another Best Puppy in Show in February 2003 at another big show-Alberta Kennel Club.   The same weekend, he was also BOB at the ASSCA specialty. His next show was CKOC, where he picked up another Group 1st, a Group 3rd and TWO Best Puppy in Shows! He then went to warm Southern California where he took back to back major reserve winners dog AND Best Puppy in Specialty under Carol Chapman and George Horn. His last Canadian show as a puppy saw him win yet another Best Puppy in Show - to finish his puppy career with SIX!!! Cadence also picked up a class placement at the 2003 CCA.

Cadence finished his American title in short order.  With the exception of his last set of points in California, Cadence was handled by his co-breeder/co-owner, Nancy Anstruther of Tallywood Collies.   Thanks also to Linda Robbins of Gambit Collies for handling Cadence to his final U.S. points.

Cadence is now with Kathy Reid of Shannonbrook Collies, where he is having a great life working on his agility and obedience titles. |

Leah is one of four Champions from Shimmer's first litter.  Leah is a Best in Specialty Show Collie, as well as a multiple group placer.  In the United States, she picked up back to back majors by going WB at the Collie Club of Washington Specialty (and RWB at the other CCofW Specialty) and WB, BW, BOV at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club.  Thanks to Nancy Anstruther for handling Leah to this weekend of wins.  Leah finished her US title easily, handled by Susan.  To say that she was a hit with the ringside observers, on both sides of the border, would be an understatement.   Like her mom, she combines beauty with a great side gait.   Sadly, Leah never felt motherhood was for her.   Leah is now enjoying a fabulous retirement with Liz Botsford, of Frondeg Collies.     We don’t know who is happier... Leah or Liz! |

Josh finished his championship in style, by going WD, BW, BB, BISS at the 2001 Collie Club of British Columbia Specialty. Thanks to Rod Oishi for handling Josh to this win. In the US, Josh was Best in Sweepstakes at the Inland Empire Collie Club Specialty.  We love Josh's expression, outline and substance.

Lutin was shown to his championship by his owner and breeder, Nancy Anstruther of Tallywood Collies.  He had a great puppy career, going Best in Sweeps at Specialties in Canada and California.  He was WD, BW at the Alberta Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Specialty from the junior puppy class and also went Best Puppy in Group on the same weekend.  He finished his championship with a Group placing.   Thanks to Nancy for taking Lutin to such nice wins.   Lutin now resides with his new owner in the United States.

Versace was #2 Collie (#1 in the West) in 2000. The all-breed shows were fun, picking up several Group 1's along the way to his ranking, but the big win of the year was going Best in Specialty Show at the Collie Club of Canada National, under respected breeder-judge, Grace Kosub. It was a thrill to see Versace top an entry of very nice Collies.

The following year, in much more limited showing, Versace was #4 Collie in the nation. |

For a bitch who was shown infrequently, Lacey had a very good career.  WB at the ’96 CCC National, Award of Merit at the ’97 National and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Specialty at the 2000 Collie Club of Canada National, to her kennel mate, Versace.  A million thanks to Grace Kosub for giving us a day not to be forgotten and to Tony Williams, Lacey's co-owner, for showing Lacey that day.    Lacey was also a multiple Best in Specialty Show winner in the United States.     We are particularly proud that just about all her wins were breeder/owner/handler wins. |

Spice’s last win before her retirement was Best in Veteran Sweeps at the 2000 Collie Club of Canada National.    Spice was a multiple Best in Specialty winning.   Her virtue was in her expression and head detail, which held beautifully throughout her old age. |

The wins that Huey accumulated are in the distant past now but some wins will never be forgotten.     Huey began his Specials career as a young dog, winning the 1989 Collie Club of Canada National Specialty, where there was a record entry!  He finished his career winning Best of Breed at the Collie Club of Washington as a veteran, holding his virtues throughout his life. In between, he was Best in Specialty or Best of Opposite Sex at the Collie Club of BC Specialty in 1989, 1991 and 1992. His U.S. majors, including a Specialty major, were both under breeder-judges. |
